Rachel and Tim were a dream couple to work with - organised and relaxed, but above all really nice people with great families.

Rachel and her family started off the wedding weekend with a visit to The Studio for a family photoshoot as they hadn't had a picture all together since Rachel and her sister were small.

They had their ceremony at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Mickleover, followed by a reception at the beautiful Hartington Hall in Derbyshire.

Rachel's super-clever mum made all the dresses herself and everyone looked amazing.


Hartington Hall really is a beautiful venue, with rolling countryside stretching out as far as the eye can see. And the weather was just perfect for outdoor speeches and mingling - the whole day went brilliantly!

Tiny twins

I had been looking forward to this shoot even before the twins were born. Their parents had been given a gift voucher for a photoshoot and mounted print and booked in when the babies were just four weeks old.


The babies, a boy and a girl, were perfectly behaved and their parents were brilliant at holding them in just the right position and feeding, rocking and patting them to sleep!


It was a marathon shoot and I think we were all ready for a cuppa and a sit-down afterwards! We showed the family their pictures at the weekend and they were very happy. The prints they chose are being mounted by our fab framer as I write.

Fabulous Places Summer Food & Gift Fair

It's now Thursday and I've almost finished putting the studio back together after a super weekend event at Derby's Roundhouse.
Our first event at this venue was the Fabulous Places Christmas Market in November last year, which was amazing, so we couldn't wait to go back for the website's Summer Food & Gift Fair.
The event brought together some terrific Derbyshire businesses under one roof - and outside too!
We thought we'd display our pictures in a slightly different way this time and I was really pleased with the result. Once again, we were selling half-price gift vouchers, which proved popular - a photoshoot at The Studio and a mounted 5x7 print for £10 instead of the usual £20.
And we were giving away an extra special treat with each photoshoot thanks to the brilliant Love Cakes. They printed one of our cute puppy photographs onto icing discs on top of the most delicious cupcakes ever!

Anne & Shaun

Anne and Shaun chose a wonderful venue for their spring wedding - Kelham Hall, which is just a few minutes from Newark.
The colours the couple selected for their flowers and accessories looked amazing – beautiful shades of pink, from striking dark tones to pretty pastels.
It really was a fantastic day!
After Anne and Shaun received their disc of all their images from the day, they said: "The disc arrived today and we have just been looking through the pictures. We are absolutely over the moon with the photographs.

"We can’t believe how many there are and just how fantastic the shots are. The colour in the shots is superb.

"Many many thanks for providing a top class service and the most wonderful memories of our special day."
